My BBC link is about Olympus Mons, the largest known mountain in our solar system. But how would this gargantuan mountain look on the surface? Furthermore, Olympus Mons seems to feature quite a prominent caldera. Me and my family off to America in August 1967. The two pictures below should give you a good idea of the cars that adorned Britain back in 1978. The picture of the Ford Granada is probably from September that year.It was probably one of the first of the Mk 2 Granadas from 1977. Note the house in the background and try comparing it with the one in the picture above. I believe I took this picture of Ebury Square in London in the middle of 1978. I also believe that, according to the book MY DAD HAD ONE OF THOSE, the Mk 1 Vauxhall Cavalier lived in the shadow of the contemporary Ford Cortina.
